It's always important that you ask questions before availing of graphic design work--particularly when you have to pay for it. Why do I have to pay when a lot of forums offer free design services?
Why pay when other sites offer freebies? Because you get what you pay for. When you avail of our services, you can be assured that the designs will be absolutely yours to use. Not to claim as your own, obviously, but yours all the same. Exclusively, especially made just for you. Just imagine--your own forum with its beautiful skin, and the knowledge in the fact that you won't see that same skin anywhere else in the web. Wonderful thought, isn't it? We thought so.
And if that alone does not convince you that it's worth it, think of the fees as a donation. il Desiderio Designs is just another way of the il Desiderio forum to raise funds for upgrades and expansion. Chances are, if you are a member of the forum, you have read the account on where the money will go. If you're not a member but still wish to avail of our services, your requests are very much appreciated, and you can be sure that the money you contribute will go far in helping our site's development.
Such and such does not charge as much for graphic design, can you match their price?
Graphic design is not as simple as you think it is. It's not rice, where the prices run along the same lines everywhere. Think of it as stereos--where the quality determines the price of the item. The same applies for our work. Just as you choose the graphic designer to fill our your needs, so do we choose the clients we serve: and those are the clients who know and appreciate what our services are worth. il Desiderio Designs was set up as fundraiser, yes, but we will not reduce the value of our art just to get money for that IPB.
How long will my request take to complete?
It really depends on what you have requested, and which artist will be filling it out. If you want it completed within a specific timeframe, please do let us know. We will contact you about these details once you have emailed us the
questionnaire.
Will you start to work on my request right away?
Again, it depends on the type of request, and the artist filling it out. It is possible, but not likely if the artist you want has been commisioned to do other work.
Who will fill out my request? Can I choose the artist?
Absolutely! Monica, Lanes, Nickel, Sarra, Bell and Leon--take your pick. However, not all of them fill out the same services, so please do take a gander at their portfolios to see what they offer before you request for them. They also have the right to turn down requests should they feel that they are not the best artist to fill it out, in such an occasion, the team will talk about who is the best artist for the job, and thus present him or her to you for approval. If you have no specific artist in mind, that is fine too--the team will talk it over, and the person we feel best suited to fill our your request will do so.
I've never availed of paid graphic design services before, what can I expect?
Exclusivity. Individuality. Personality. And most importantly, a working relationship with the graphic design artist. An artist dedicated to fulfilling your graphic needs. You can expect your artist to be commited to providing only the best graphic quality he or she can produce for you, to be utterly professional in every way (there are no excuses for typographical errors, even in emails, nor do you have to worry about missed deadlines). You can also trust him or her to pay attention to even the smallest details. You can trust your graphic designer--period. And of course, common niceties. Courtesy does not cost a thing. Especially since all of the designers on this team know about chivalry, all having come from the same historical rpg where such virtues are important in every character's lives. Need we say more?
Will I own everything you produce for me?
Yes. What we make is competely yours to use! Exclusivity is our main idea here. The only limitation is that you may not claim the designs as your own, and you must also credit us for our work. For graphic sets, a little blurb in your application, or in your signature would suffice. For web and forum design, credit must be given in your site's index page (don't worry, just a short line on the footers will do).
How many requests can I make?
As many as you need. Just please bear in mind that the more packages you request, the longer it will take for us to fill everything out.
Can I request for more than one artist to fill our my request?
Of course--the only thing is, you may not ask for more than one artist to fill out the same request.
How do I pay for the services I have requested?
We accept two methods of payment--either by paypal or by cheque. For simple forum graphic packages, we require that the client pay the full amount before we begin the project (the artist who will fill out your request will contact you for further details). For bigger forum design services, we request that a 50% downpayment be made before the project is filled out. Your designer will contact you for the next installment, 25% when the project is nearly complete, and the final 25% before the turnover. You can expect your designer to send you screenshots of the work-in-progress.
